Privacy Policy

This policy explains the limited information Woodstock Residents Directory receives and the choices available to visitors. No account is required, and the site does not host Woodstock or Georgia public records. Most activity consists of reading guidance and following links to the agencies that keep the original files.

Data You Give Us Directly

What you type into the search forms (a name, a phone number, or an address) goes to the third-party provider that powers the results; our own servers keep no copy of your searches. If you write to us, we see only what your message contains and use it to reply.

Information Collected Automatically

Standard hosting logs can contain an IP address, browser type, viewed pages, and timestamps. Aggregate patterns help maintain the service and identify useful pages. Basic analytics and advertising measurement may also use cookies or comparable technologies.

How Information Is Used

Information supports operation, troubleshooting, traffic measurement, and content improvement. Visitor lists are not sold, and individual user profiles are not created.

Links to Other Websites

We link out to county and state records portals, library collections, archives, and third-party search tools. Their privacy policies, not ours, govern what you submit there. That is especially true of the sponsored search results, which a third-party company provides.

Who Might See Your Data

The service providers that host and support the site process server logs for us. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. We disclose data when a valid legal process requires it, and not otherwise.

How We Protect Your Data

The site runs over an encrypted connection and logs are kept only as long as the purposes above need them. There are no accounts here, so no password or profile of yours exists on this site to be exposed.

Users Under 18

The site is meant for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18; if you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Your Data Rights

Georgia did not have a broad comprehensive consumer-privacy law identified in the project research. Privacy in public records instead depends on source-specific rules, including O.C.G.A. ยง50-18-72 redactions, VoteSafe, vital-record restrictions, court orders, and the federal DPPA. Because this site retains little, a request normally involves checking the contact mailbox and available server logs. Use the Contact page to ask. A correction or removal request for a city, county, or state record must go to its custodian.

Updates to This Policy

Any change to this policy will be posted on this page. Using the site after a change means you accept the updated version.
